Published–title page photo for an article in the December issue of Skating Magazine. The article is about Scott Hamilton, the growing skating community in Nashville (which will host the 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championships) and the the Ford Ice Centers in Antioch and Bellevue—home to Scott’s skating academy and the Nashville Predators.
It was particularly inspiring to me to read of the building of the arenas and the resulting rebirth of areas that had fallen into decay: defunct shopping malls repurposed and economies revitalized. If you’ve ever seen photos of creepy abandoned shopping malls you’ll know what I mean.
